BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Felician University displayed strong team defense and scored once in each period to earn a 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer victory over host Bloomfield College on Wednesday night at Foley Field.

Redshirt junior Danielle Jenkin (Pompton lakes, N.J.) recorded the eventual game-winning score in the 32nd minute of play. Golden Falcon junior Paloma Garcia (Union City, N.J.) provided the final margin with 9:02 remaining in regulation. Both players picked up their third goals of the season.

Prior to Jenkin breaking through on the scoreboard with 13:29 left until halftime, scoring opportunities had been scarce for both sides. Freshman Elisa Zuta (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) was credited with an assist on the play. Felician carried the 1-0 edge into the break with the teams having combined for only five shot attempts.

Play opened only slightly during period two. Garcia scored when she bent a corner kick directly off the goalkeeper's hands and into the net. The Bears were unable to generate a dangerous chance during the time that remained.

Golden Falcon junior goalkeeper Jamie Kazenmayer (Mooresville, N.C.) recorded her first solo shutout of the season, making two saves. The game marked the seventh clean sheet of her career (plus two shared). Felician posted consecutive shutouts for the first time in more than four years – since Sept. 26 and 29, 2015.

Felician ended up with a 10-8 advantage in shots. Jenkin got off a game-high five.
