Women's Bowling Puts 11 On ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The East Coast Conference (ECC) recently announced the list of student-athletes that have been named to its Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2017-18 academic year.

Felician University placed 11 members of its women's bowling team on the list – seven seniors, one junior, two sophomores, and one freshman. The same 11 bowlers – listed below -- were named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team earlier this month.

Felician is an associate member of the ECC only for women's bowling. In their three years as a league member, the Golden Falcons have put 30 bowlers on the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll, including eight three-time honorees.

ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll status is accorded to conference student-athletes who obtain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or better. A record 1,336 student-athletes, among 10 member institutions and nine associate members, were named to the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll for 2017-18. LIU Post led the way with 268 honorees. A complete list can be viewed at www.eccsports.org/information/general-news/2017-18/2017-18_Commissioners_HR.pdf.

In March, the Golden Falcons tied for ninth place out of 10 teams in the third ECC Championship tournament. Guided by head coach Andrew Toriello, Felician completed its fourth season of intercollegiate competition with a 52-58 won-lost record, and was listed at No. 9 in the final National Tenpin Coaches Association Division II/III poll.

Felician is a member of NCAA Division II. Its other 13 varsity intercollegiate programs compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
