RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Alexis Durando of Lake Hopatcong has resigned as the head women's softball coach at Felician University, Felician director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today.
Durando, the sixth coach in Felician softball history, guided the Golden Falcons for three seasons. She posted a won-lost record of 56-81, including a mark of 40-38 (.513) during regular-season Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play. She led the Golden Falcons to CACC playoff berths in 2017 and 2018.
Felician claimed an unprecedented three all-region players during Durando's tenure. She coached seven all-CACC and seven CACC All-Academic athletes.
Durando joined the Golden Falcons' staff as an assistant to Chris Foye for the 2016 campaign.
"We were pleased to have Alexis serve our institution," DiNallo said. "She was an outstanding leader, and now we are looking for another outstanding leader to coach our softball team."
Felician is a member of NCAA Division II. Its softball team concluded the 23rd season in program history in 2019.
