Dean Wright, CACC All-Academic 2016 2018 2019

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University men's soccer student-athlete Dean Wright (Dublin, Ireland/Colaiste Choilm) has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Fall 2019 All-Academic Team, the CACC recently announced. Wright earns the award for the third time in his career, the most possible for one sport.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team, recipients must have used a season of eligibility while participating in a CACC fall championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be a second-year student-athlete at their current school and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher at the end of the immediate preceding term.

Wright, a fifth-year senior defender/midfielder, started all 18 games for the 2019 Golden Falcons. He got off two shots and registered two assists. Wright graduated from Colaiste Choilm in Dublin, Ireland, in 2014. At Felician, he owns a GPA of 3.65 while majoring in accounting.

Felician was 4-14 overall and finished 12th in the CACC with a 2-10 league record.

Felician has now had six student-athletes earn CACC all-Academic honors during the 2019-20 academic year.

Conference-wide, Wright was one of 55 student-athletes, including one of 11 third-time winners, to be honored in men's soccer from the 13 member schools that participate in the sport.
