RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University freshman Diego Duffort (Madrid, Spain/Colegio San Patricio) has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the period ending Oct. 6, the CACC announced on Monday.
Duffort, a 6-foot-1, 160-pound forward, notched Felician's only goal of last week. He scored during the second half of the Golden Falcons' 2-1 CACC road loss to first-place Concordia (N.Y.) College in Bronxville, N.Y. It was Duffort's second goal of the year.

Duffort has started seven games for the Golden Falcons this season. A 2019 graduate of Colegio San Patricio in Madrid, Spain, he has played for the Read Madrid youth academy since age 13.
Duffort is the second consecutive Felician men's soccer player to be named CACC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week. Golden Falcon goalkeeper Alex Ficarra (Phillipsburg, N.J./Notre Dame-Green Pond [Pa.]) earned last week's honor.
Felician (2-6, 1-3 CACC) is guided by sixth-year head coach Erik Kotynski of Lyndhurst. Ficarra, Yang and the Golden Falcons are next in action tonight at 7, when they face Bloomfield College at Foley Field in Bloomfield.
