RUTHERFORD, N.J. – For the second consecutive year, thirty-two Felician University student-athletes have been named winners of the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards. The Academic Achievement Award is a program that recognizes accomplishments of student-athletes at the NCAA Division II level and the 2018-19 honorees were released by the organization earlier this week.

In order to be recognized with a D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, recipients must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, have attended college for at least four semesters, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate athletic team during his/her last academic year. The recipient's athletics director must also be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA.

The women's soccer team was the most prolific Felician squad with seven honorees, followed by the women's bowling squad with four. The Golden Falcons held steady after producing totals of 27 winners in 2016-17 and 26 for the previous year.

Nationally, a record 11,660 student-athletes from 185 institutions were recognized. Felician's 32 athletes were part of a total of 621 from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. More information, including a breakdown of winners by conference, is available at https://nacda.com/news/2019/8/26/d2-ada-announces-2018-19-academic-achievement-recipients.aspx?path=d2ada.
