RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College women's cross-country team earned All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association for the 2013 season, the USTFCCCA announced on Friday.
A total of 136 NCAA Division II women's teams earned the award by posting a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.00 or better through the fall 2013 semester, and scoring at an NCAA D-II regional meet. Felician was one of four Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's programs to be recognized.
Felician, led by 12th-year head coach John Brennan, amassed a cumulative team GPA of 3.20. The Golden Falcons finished in 22nd place at the East Regional Championship in Boston on Nov. 10.
Cross-country is the third Felician women's program in the last 12 months to earn the team academic award available from its national coaches association, joining softball and soccer. The Golden Falcon men's soccer program was also so honored.
