RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Sabrina Roldan (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) has been chosen as both the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Cross-Country Runner of the Week and Rookie of the Week for the period ending Oct. 6, the CACC announced today.
Roldan was honored following her collegiate debut on Saturday at the 10th Annual Technology Challenge, hosted by New Jersey Institute of Technology at Branch Brook Park in Newark. She finished eighth out of 149 entrants, with a Felician-record 5,000 meter time of 19 minutes, 18 seconds. She broke the previous school standard, set by Amanda Scibetta in 2007, by 38 seconds.
Roldan led Felician to a third-place result out of 19 non-Division I schools in the team standings. She is a 2013 graduate of Woodbridge High.
Roldan is Felician's first CACC Women's Cross-Country Runner of the Week since 2007, when Scibetta earned the award. She is the second Golden Falcon this season to capture the league's weekly Rookie honor – teammate Katie Rohsler (Fredon, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) was cited on Sept. 16.

Also on Monday, Felician sophomore women's soccer defender Erica Evans (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.
Felician, a member of NCAA Division II, is guided by 12th-year head cross-country coach John Brennan. Roldan and the Golden Falcons next compete on Oct. 12 at the Jack St. Clair Memorial, to be hosted by Philadelphia University at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
