RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Three Felician University women's outdoor track & field student-athletes – senior Kate Rohsler (Fredon, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) and juniors Heather Androvich (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) and Kristen Keller (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) -- have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring 2017 All-Academic Team, the CACC announced today. Rohsler earns the award in track & field for the second time in her career, while Androvich and Keller are first-time honorees in the sport.
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team, recipients must have used a season of eligibility while participating in a CACC spring championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be a second-year student-athlete at their current school, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher at the end of the immediate preceding term.
Rohsler, a middle-distance runner, was the CACC Women's Track Athlete of the Week on Apr. 10. She holds the Felician record in the 800-meter run. Rohsler carried a cumulative GPA of 3.66 through the fall 2016 semester as a criminal justice major. She is a 2013 graduate of Kittatinny Regional High of Newton.
Androvich, a thrower, enjoyed her best results in the javelin, throwing a personal best 22.80 meters at TCNJ on April 29. She placed 21st in the shot put at the CACC Championship meet. an. Androvich owns a 3.51 GPA while majoring in nursing. She is a 2014 graduate of Carteret High.
Keller, a thrower, was most comfortable in the discus. She made a personal-record toss of 24.05 meters at TCNJ, and finished 14th (22.99m) at the CACC meet. She maintains a GPA of 3.84 and majors in communications. Keller is a 2014 product of Schuylkill Valley High of Leesport, Pa.
All three of Felician's track & field winners have been conference academic honorees in other sports. Rohsler was previously named to the CACC All-Academic squads in cross-country and lacrosse. Keller was a 2015 winner in volleyball, and both Androvich and Keller were 2016 East Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll selections in bowling.
Conference-wide, Rohsler, Androvich and Keller were three of 28 student-athletes to be honored in women's track & field from the 10 member schools that sponsor the sport. Rohsler was one of 14 to be recognized more than once in the sport in her career.
Felician completes the 2016-17 season with 32 CACC All-Academic honorees.
