GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Felician University women's track & field team won three events and broke two school records during the Oscar Moore Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Rowan University. The meet was not scored on a team basis.

Two of the victories went to freshman Monika Dlugosz (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) in the field events. Dlugosz captured the shot put with a toss of 10.78 meters, defeating a field of 11 other throwers. She also eclipsed her own school record in the discus, tying for the day's title with a mark of 32.92 meters. The previous Felician standard of 24.52 meters was established last week by Dlugosz at Ramapo College.

For the first time in the three-year history of its program, the Golden Falcons entered runners in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Juniors Alexis Jones (Clayton, N.J./GCIT) and Kelly Murphy (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) both participated, with Jones winning the race in 13 minutes, 52.96 seconds. Murphy placed third with a time of 15:45.88.

Freshman Anna Piedel (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) broke her own school record in the javelin, finishing sixth by throwing 24.00 meters. Piedel had a mark of 21.71 meters at Ramapo last week.

Senior Kate Rohsler (Fredon, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) highlighted the Golden Falcons' middle-distance efforts. Rohsler was third in the 1,500 meters (5:35.14) and sixth in the 800 (2:48.87).

Felician also sent a delegation from its men's club team to the meet. Senior Mike Secreti (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) won the 5,000-meter race.
