Felician To Compete In CACC Women's Track Championship

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College women's track & field team will conclude its inaugural season by competing in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship meet today. The meet will begin at 10 a.m. on the campus of Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.

Felician has entered athletes primarily in distance events this season. Sophomore Sabrina Roldan (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge), a 2013 All-CACC cross-country runner, has been the top performer for the Golden Falcons. She has posted season-best times of 2:37.57 in the 800 meters, 5:18.53 in the 1,500, and 11:27.46 in the 3,000.

Senior Andrea Sarracino (Wood-Ridge, N.J./St. Mary-Rutherford) has also been a consistent performer. She is coming off her best 800-meter performance of the season, a 2:39.61 at the Brick City Classic on April 26. In the same meet, she ran the 1,500 in 5:50.26.

The Golden Falcons' top threat in the field events is sophomore long jumper and triple jumper Stephanie Hesse (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton).

The CACC Women's Track & Field Championship is in its second season. Georgian Court won the inaugural event in 2014. Results of that meet can be viewed at www.caccathletics.org/sports/track/2013-14/files/CACC_Track_and_Field_2014_Championships.htm.
