EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Sabrina Roldan (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) finished eighth in the 3,000-meter run to highlight the Felician College women's track & field team's trip to the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet, held on Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Roldan completed the 3,000 meters in 11 minutes, 27.46 seconds. She was fewer than a second out of seventh place, and 1.09 seconds ahead of the ninth-place finisher. Kate Dodds of Bloomsburg University won the race in 10:18.19
Of the 29 competitors who completed the 3000, seven were from Felician. Senior Andrea Sarracino (Wood-Ridge, N.J./St. Mary) was 19th in 12:32.42, followed by senior Sylvia Bialy (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) (22nd, 12:46.87), junior Michelle Camacho (Moonachie, N.J./Wood-Ridge) (26th, 13:22.25), sophomore Kate Rohsler (Fredon, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) (27th, 13:39.17) and senior Sam Kamphausen (East Rutherford, N.J./Becton) (29th, 16:27.07).
Sophomore Stephanie Hesse (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) was the only Golden Falcon to participate in more than one event. Hesse placed 20th out of 29 in the long jump (4.40 meters) before coming in 14th of 16 in the triple jump (9.40 meters). Kaylee Caruso of Bloomsburg won both events.
The meet was not scored on a team basis.
