D2 ADA Honors 26 Golden Falcons For Academic Work

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Twenty-six Felician University student-athletes have been named winners of the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards for 2015-16. The Academic Achievement Award is a program that recognizes accomplishments of student-athletes at the NCAA Division II level.

In order to be recognized with a D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, recipients must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, have attended college for at least four semesters, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate athletic team during his/her last academic year. The recipient's athletics director must also be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA.

The women's soccer team was the most prolific Felician squad with seven honorees. The Golden Falcons had claimed 28 winners overall in 2014-15.

Nationally, 156 institutions and a record number of student-athletes (8,072) were recognized, including 292 student-athletes from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
