33 Golden Falcons Earn D2ADA Academic Achievement

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Thirty-three Felician College student-athletes have been named winners of the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Awards for 2013-14. The Academic Achievement Award is a program that recognizes accomplishments of student-athletes at the NCAA Division 2 level.

In order to be recognized with a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award, recipients must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, have attended college for at least four semesters, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate athletic team during his/her last academic year. The recipient's athletics director must also be a current dues-paying member of the D2ADA.

Felician topped the 31 winners it claimed in 2012-13. The women's soccer team led the way with 12 honorees, followed by the softball team with eight.

Nationally, 158 institutions and a record number of student-athletes (7,074) were recognized, including 278 student-athletes from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. More information, including a breakdown of winners by conference, is available at http://www.nacda.com/sports/div2ada/spec-rel/082214aad.html.
