CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. - Effective immediately, the East Coast Conference has added Felician University as an associate member in the sport of women's bowling. Felician will be eligible to compete in the ECC Championship next month.
"The ECC is very excited that Felician University has joined the ECC Bowling Conference and will be part of our inaugural season and championship tournament hosted by Kutztown University in March," said ECC Commissioner Dr. Robert Dranoff. "We are pleased to be a part of this growing Division II sport for women and look forward to partnering with Felician, and our other members, to keep moving ahead in women's bowling."
The addition of Felician brings the number of schools in the conference to six. The Golden Falcons, who previously competed as an independent, join Adelphi University, Daemen College, Franklin Pierce University, Kutztown University, and Molloy College as members participating in the innagural season of women's bowling in the ECC. Cheyney University, originally added as an associate member, will not compete during the 2016 season.
