RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Trina Plummer (West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) has been named to the 2013-14 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Second Team. The conference's award winners were voted on by its 14 head coaches and announced on Tuesday.
Plummer, a 5-foot-11 forward, started all 27 games for Felician this season. She ranks seventh in the CACC in scoring at 17.0 points per game, while also averaging 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals. She was named the league's Player of the Week on March 3.
Plummer is an all-CACC honoree for the third time. She was an honorable-mention choice as a sophomore in 2011-12, and was voted to the Third Team a year ago. She is a 2010 graduate of North Babylon High.
"Trina has developed from a steady role player as a freshman to becoming our go-to player, and, at times, carrying us," said sixth-year Felician head coach Steve Fagan. "Her improvement from honorable-mention to Third Team to Second Team is indicative of her steady growth as a player, the expansion of her overall game, and the fact that it has been noticed by opposing coaches."
Plummer leaves the Golden Falcon program as its all-time leader in rebounds (680) and steals (206) and No. 3 on its career scoring list (1,386 points). Felician reached the CACC quarterfinals in three of her four seasons.
Felician completed 2013-14 with a won-lost record of 12-15. The Golden Falcons tied for third place in the CACC North Division with a 10-9 league mark, and were defeated by Holy Family University in the conference quarterfinals on March 1.
Felician has now had five student-athletes earn all-conference honors this academic year.
