RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Trina Plummer (West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Mar. 2, the CACC announced on Monday.
Plummer was honored during the final set of weekly awards handed out by the CACC in 2013-14. She is the only Felician basketball player, male or female, to be named a Player of the Week this season.
Plummer, a 5-foot-11 forward, began the week by leading Felician to an 85-48 home victory over Concordia (N.Y.) College in its Feb. 25 regular season finale. In that game, she amassed 25 points, 12 rebounds, and four steals. Plummer then posted 13 points and seven rebounds as the Golden Falcons ended their season on Saturday with a 71-50 CACC quarterfinal loss at Holy Family University.
Plummer started all 27 games for Felician this season. She ranks seventh in the CACC in scoring at 17.0 points per game, while also averaging 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals. She leaves the Golden Falcon program as its all-time leader in rebounds (680) and steals (206) and No. 3 on its career scoring list (1,386 points).
