Morris Makes CACC All-Academic Squad

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College women's basketball student-athlete Ashley Morris (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Winter 2012-13 All-Academic Team, the CACC announced today.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have used a season of eligibility while participating in a CACC winter championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.

Morris is in her third year at Felician, but was granted a medical waiver for 2011-12 and recently completed her sophomore year of athletic eligibility. A forward, she played in all 26 of the Golden Falcons' games this season, starting 15, and averaged 5.7 points and 4.5 rebounds. She carries a 3.55 GPA as a graphic design major.

Morris is the only Felician student-athlete on the 2012-13 CACC Winter All-Academic Squad. She earns the honor for the first time.

Conference-wide, Morris was one of 30 student-athletes to be honored this winter from the 14 member schools. She is the 17th CACC All-Academic honoree for Felician this academic year.
