Alexis Durando was named the interim head coach of the Felician University softball program in September 2016. She is the sixth head coach in program history.
Durando spent the 2016 season as a Felician assistant under Chris Foye.
Duranso was a four-year member of the softball team at Division-I Rutgers University. As a senior in 2014, she was voted as the all-American Athletic Conference second-team first baseman and to the AAC All-Tournament Team. She was a four-time member of the Big East Conference/AAC All-Academic Team.
While attending Rutgers, Durando was an intern in the athletics marketing department. She earned a BS in exercise science and sport studies in 2014. That summer and fall, she served as an 18U asistant with the NJ Hei$t travel program.
Durando was an all-state performer at Immaculate Heart Academy. She resides in Hoboken with her husband, Dan DeCongelio, and is a sales representative for Stan's Sports Center.
