Trio From Felician Softball Named CACC All-Academic

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Three Felician University softball student-athletes – Isabella Bradian (Mount Royal, N.J./Kingsway Regional), Alexa Raba (Iselin, N.J./Spotswood) and Jeannette Roldan (Hesperia, Calif./Oak Hills) --  have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring 2018 All-Academic Team, the CACC announced on Monday. All three players earn the honor for the first-time.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team, recipients must have used a season of eligibility while participating in a CACC spring championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be a second-year student-athlete at their current school, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher at the end of the immediate preceding term.

Bradian, a redshirt sophomore outfielder, started all 43 games for the Golden Falcons (19-24, 16-10). She batted .248 with two doubles, one triple, 17 runs scored and seven runs batted in. Bradian is a 2015 graduate of Kingsway Regional High School of Woolwich. Through the award period, she carried a 3.77 GPA as a biology major.

Raba, a sophomore pitcher, appeared in seven games, starting four, and posted an 0-2 won-lost record. She allowed 14 hits in 11 1/3 innings. Raba maintained a 3.87 GPA through the fall 2017 semester. She is a biology major in Felician's pre-physical therapy program. Raba graduated from Spotswood High in 2016.

Roldan, a senior outfielder, started 42 games. She was chosen to the All-CACC Second Team and the CACC Student-Athlete of the Month for April after hitting .404 with 16 doubles, two triples, two home runs, 33 runs, and 20 RBI. She will graduate as Felician's all-time hits leader with 187. Roldan, a 2014 graduate of Oak Hills (Calif.) High, carried a 3.50 GPA through the award period while majoring in business administration.

Felician has now had 19 student-athletes earn Academic All-CACC honors this academic year.

Conference-wide, Bradian, Raba and Roldan were three of 50 student-athletes to be honored in softball from the CACC's 14 member schools. The complete list can be viewed at
