Spiegelberg Named To CACC Softball All-Tournament Team

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University sophomore Nicole Spiegelberg (Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee) has been named to the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball All-Tournament Team.

The All-Tournament Team was announced at the conclusion of the CACC Championship Game on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J. Spiegelberg, a 5-foot-6 first baseman, went 4 for 5 plus a walk during Felician's stay in the conference playoffs. During a 6-5 elimination game loss to Wilmington (Del.) University, she hit two home runs and drove in three runs.

Spiegelberg set a single-season Felician record in 2018 with 14 home runs. In 43 games, she batted .336 with 23 runs scored and 39 runs batted in. Last season, she was a first-team all-CACC and all-East Region selection at designated player.

The Golden Falcons amassed an overall won-lost record of 19-24. They tied for fourth place in the CACC regular-season standings (16-10) and tied for seventh in the conference tournament.
