RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Ciera Clark (Granite Bay, Calif./Del Oro) was chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Softball Co-Player of the Week for the period ending Mar. 30, the CACC announced on Monday. Clark has won or shared that award three times in the four weeks it has been handed out this season.
Clark, a 5-foot-8 first-baseman, played in three games during a 3-1 week for Felician. She went 5 for 8 with two doubles, two home runs, five runs scored and five runs batted in. She slugged 1.625 for the week with an on-base percentage of .700.
On Mar. 28, she went 4 for 4 with five RBI in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Georgian Court University. In the process, she established three Felician career records – doubles (31), RBI (85) and multi-home run games (3).
Clarks leads the CACC with seven home runs in 2014, one shy of the Golden Falcon single-season record. She ranks second in the league in hitting (.492) and third in RBI (25). She is a 2011 graduate of Del Oro High of Loomis, Calif.
Clark shared this week's award with freshman outfielder Gracie Sullivan of Caldwell College. More information is available at http://www.caccathletics.org/sports/sball/2013-14/releases/20140331-Softball-report.pdf.
