RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Ciera Clark (Granite Bay, Calif./Del Oro) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Softball Player of the Week for the period ending Mar. 9, the CACC announced on Monday.
Monday's set of weekly awards were the first of the season for CACC spring sports. They took into account year-to-date statistics, not just the previous week.
Clark is the first Golden Falcon to be named CACC Softball Player of the Week in nearly four years. Lauren DeGrushe was so honored on Apr. 26, 2010.
Clark, a 5-foot-8 first-baseman, is batting .514 during Felician's first 11 games of 2014. She has driven in 11 runs and scored nine, and struck out just once in 37 plate appearances. Her four doubles and two home runs, including a grand slam, resulted in an .800 slugging percentage.
Clark is a third-year starter for the Golden Falcons. She is tied for second place on the school's all-time home run list with 14, and on Feb. 28, became the 12th player in program history to reach 100 career hits.

Felician, guided by first-year head coach Chris Foye of Verona, owns a won-lost record of 4-7. The Golden Falcons will begin CACC play on Saturday, when they travel to Wilmington (Del.) University for a doubleheader beginning at noon.
