RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Eleven Felician College student-athletes have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Spring 2013 All-Academic Team, the CACC announced today.
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team, recipients must have participated in a CACC spring championship sport, be a second-year student-athlete who used a season of competition in 2013, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.
The softball team highlighted the list with eight winners, one short of school record for a single sport in one year. Four honorees – senior golfer Anthony Bizien (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) and junior softball teammates Tori Bradburn (Ridge, Md./Great Mills), Kelsi Ludwigsen (Havre de Grace, Md./Harford Tech) and Halei Van Dyke (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) – were repeat All-Academic selections from 2012.
The 11 honorees are a school record for the spring season, and represent a marked improvement from the six student-athletes the Golden Falcons claimed in Spring 2012. The CACC All-Academic program is in its ninth year.
In all, a CACC spring record 120 student-athletes from the league's 14 member schools were honored across five sports; the complete list can be viewed at http://www.caccathletics.org/news/20130605-springallacademic. Felician's recipients are listed below with GPA and major course of study.
