Felician Puts Three On All-CACC Men's Soccer Teams

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College freshman Keleenna Onyeaka (Birmingham, England/Solihull Sixth Form College) has been named to the 2011 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer First Team, the CACC released today. Felician also placed two players, junior Josh Delva (South Orange, NJ/Columbia) and graduate student Adrian Sutcliffe (Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England/Prudhoe) on the All-CACC Second Team. The conference's 12 head coaches voted on the award winners.

Onyeaka, a 6-foot-2 center back, has started all 19 games for the Golden Falcons. He has recorded three goals and one assist, including a goal in today's CACC first-round road playoff victory over Dominican (N.Y.) College. Onyeaka heads up a Golden Falcon defense which has played to a 1.45 goals-against average and limited its opponents to fewer than five shots on goal per game.

The 5-foot-11 Delva is a third-year starter at center midfield, and is a member of the all-CACC Second Team for the second time. In 2011, he has amassed two goals and two assists in 16 contests. A team captain since his freshman season, he is praised by his coaches for his ball-winning abilities and range of passing. Delva is a 2009 graduate of South Orange High.

Sutcliffe is in his second year as a Golden Falcon after transferring from Leeds Metropolitan University in England, and is an all-conference selection for the first time. With 21 points on nine goals and three assists, the 6-foot striker leads Felician in scoring despite playing the first four matches of the season on defense.

The Golden Falcons have a 10-9 overall record and finished in sixth place in the CACC with a 6-5 league mark. After defeating Dominican in today's first-round tournament action, they will play in the CACC semifinals against Nyack College on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Chestnut Hill College.

Felician has now had nine student-athletes earn all-conference honors this academic year.
