In Men's Lacrosse First, Addeo Named CACC All-Academic

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University men's lacrosse student-athlete Billy Addeo (North Arlington, N.J./Paramus Catholic) has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring All-Academic Team, the CACC announced last Wednesday.

Addeo is the first athlete in the two-year history of the Felician men's lacrosse program to attain CACC All-Academic honors.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team, recipients must have used a season of eligibility while participating in a CACC spring championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be a second-year student-athlete at their current school, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher at the end of the immediate preceding term.

Addeo, a sophomore goalkeeper, appeared for 143 minutes over 11 games in a reserve role. He allowed 51 goals and made 41 saves without receiving a decision. Addeo carries a 3.59 GPA as a double-major in criminal justice and cybersecurity. He is a 2017 graduate of Paramus Catholic High School.

Felician has now had 15 student-athletes earn CACC All-Academic honors this academic year.

Conference-wide, Addeo was one of 17 student-athletes to be honored in men's lacrosse from the CACC's six member schools that sponsor the sport. The complete list can be viewed at http://www.caccathletics.org/sports/mlax/2018-19/2019_MLAX_All-Academic_Team_-3-.pdf.
