ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Felician University men's lacrosse team concluded the non-conference portion of its inaugural season with a 19-4 loss to host Molloy College on Saturday afternoon at Bob Klein Field. Freshman midfielder/attack Mike Guaragno (Montgomery, N.Y.) had a pair of goals for Felician (0-7).

Molloy (3-3) got off to a fast start when sophomore midfielder Colin Kotarski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) scored 51 seconds into play. With 11 minutes gone by, the Lions led, 5-0. The Golden Falcons dented the scoreboard with 2:14 left in the first period, on a goal by freshman Anthony Major II (Staten Island, N.Y.), but in quarter No. 2, the hosts took full control.

Lion senior Tim Steinman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) found the net with 13:09 to go until halftime, then assisted on a Kevin Pastier (Plainview, N.Y.) score 44 seconds later. With nine minutes left, Molloy led, 9-2, and that score held until late in the second, when the Lions netted three goals in the half's final 2:21 to pull away.

Freshman Anthony Hanratty (Hewitt, N.J.) scored in the fourth quarter for Felician.

Golden Falcon sophomore Eric Turner (Rockaway, N.J.) picked up seven ground balls, and assisted on Guaragno's third-period goal for his first collegiate point. Felician goalies Pat Hemmer (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Billy Addeo (North Arlington, N.J.) combined for 19 saves, with Addeo stopping a season-high seven shots.

Molloy amassed a 55-23 shots advantage, including 37-14 in the first half. Steinman finished with four goals and five assists, and Pastier had five goals and one assist on a game-high 12 shots. Lion junior Justin English (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) had 14 ground balls and went 20 for 22 on face-offs.
