Felician's Storako Repeats As CACC Rookie Of The Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University freshman Jake Storako (Laurel Springs, N.J./Highland Regional) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf Rookie of the Week for the period ending Apr. 12, the CACC announced on Wednesday. Storako earns the honor for the second consecutive week.

Storako, 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds, tied for 16th place out of 61 entrants at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational, a 36-hole event on Apr. 10 at Rum Pointe Golf Club in Berlin, Md. He opened with a round of 74 and followed with 75 for a five-over-par total of 159.

Storako is the Golden Falcons' top scorer for the 2016-17 season, with an average of 77.7 for 15 rounds. He has shot in the 70s 11 times, including all five of his spring semester rounds. He is a 2016 graduate of Highland Regional of Blackwood.

Felician is guided by 12th-year head coach Ben DiNallo Jr. of River Edge. Storako and the Golden Falcons are next in action on Friday at the Mike Bello Invitational, hosted by Le Moyne College in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
