RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University freshman Jake Storako (Laurel Springs, N.J./Highland Regional) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf Rookie of the Week for the period ending Apr. 4, the CACC announced on Wednesday. Storako earns the honor for the first time this season.
Storako, 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds, finished third out of 25 entrants at the Spring Charger Classic, hosted by Dominican (N.Y.) College on Apr. 1 at the Golf Club at Mansion Ridge in Monroe, N.Y. He shot a four-over-par 76 in the event, which was shortened to 18 holes by rain. Storako led Felician to a second-place result in the team standings.

Storako is the Golden Falcons' top scorer for the 2016-17 season, with an average of 78.2 for 13 rounds. He has shot in the 70s nine times with a low of 74. He is a 2016 graduate of Highland Regional of Blackwood.
Felician is guided by 12th-year head coach Ben DiNallo Jr. of River Edge. Storako and the Golden Falcons are next in action on Monday at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational in Ocean City, Md.
