RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Jeyvi Miavivululu (Paterson, N.J./Paterson Catholic) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the period ending Feb. 16, the CACC announced today. Miavivululu earns the honor for the second consecutive week and the third time this season.
Miavivululu, a 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward/center, led Felician to a 70-67 CACC road victory over Wilmington (Del) University on Saturday. In that game, he totaled 22 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots and made 11 of 17 field-goal attempts. For the week, he shot 56 percent from the floor and averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks as the Golden Falcons split a pair of games.
Miavivululu is playing his first year of collegiate basketball. In 23 games (eight starts), he is averaging 12.2 points and ranks sixth in the CACC with 7.8 rebounds per contest. A native of Lausanne, Switzerland, he is a 2009 graduate of Paterson Catholic. He also attended a postgraduate year at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Conn.

Miavivululu was also named the CACC Rookie of the Week on Nov. 11 and Feb. 10. Teammate Tim Massado (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) was so honored on Nov. 25.
Felician is guided by fifth-year head coach David DeFerrari of Secaucus. Miavivululu and the Golden Falcons (6-17, 4-12) next compete on Tuesday, when they travel to Dominican (N.Y.) College for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off in CACC action in Orangeburg, N.Y.
