RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Jeyvi Miavivululu (Paterson, N.J./Paterson Catholic) has been chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Co-Rookie of the Week for the period ending Feb. 9, the CACC announced today. Miavivululu earns the honor for the second time this season.
Miavivululu, a 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward/center, averaged 17.5 points and 15.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Golden Falcons. He totaled 12 points and 15 rebounds in a Feb. 6 home loss to Caldwell College, and followed up with 23 points and 15 boards in a win at Georgian Court University two days later. For the week, he shot 57 percent from the floor (12 for 21).
Miavivululu is playing his first year of collegiate basketball. In 21 games (six starts), he is averaging 12.0 points and ranks sixth in the CACC with 7.8 rebounds per contest. A native of Lausanne, Switzerland, he is a 2009 graduate of Paterson Catholic. He also attended a postgraduate year at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Conn. Miavivululu was ineligible for NCAA competition while studying at Felician for the last two years.
Miavivululu shares this week's honor with freshman forward Keith Hughes of Georgian Court.

Miavivululu was also named the CACC Rookie of the Week on Nov. 11.
Felician is guided by fifth-year head coach David DeFerrari. Miavivululu, Pringley and the Golden Falcons (5-16, 3-11) next compete on Tuesday, when they host Bloomfield College for an 8 p.m. tip-off in CACC action in Rutherford.
