RUTHERFORD, N.J. – After enjoying one of the most successful individual regular seasons in Felician College men's basketball history, Golden Falcon junior Antoine Obery (Roselle, N.J./Abraham Clark) has been named to the 2013 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference First Team. The results of the voting, which was conducted by the league's 13 head coaches, were released on Thursday.
Obery, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound forward/guard, ranks second in the CACC in scoring with 18.8 points per game and is third in both rebounding (10.5) and field-goal percentage (.556). He is among the top 10 NCAA Division-II players in the country in both rebounding and double-doubles (13). Obery also tops Felician in assists at 2.7 per contest (14th in the CACC).
In Felician's final regular-season game, a home win over Nyack on Feb. 23, Obery became the Golden Falcons' all-time leading rebounder with 840. He ranks third on the school career scoring list with 1,395 points.
Obery is an all-CACC honoree for the second time. He was voted to the Second Team in his true sophomore season of 2009-10. He is a 2008 graduate of Abraham Clark High.
Felician (12-14, 9-9 CACC) has qualified for the CACC playoffs as the No. 4 seed from the North Division. The Golden Falcons travel to South No. 1 seed Holy Family University for their first-round tournament game on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
