RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College junior Joe Petosa (Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood) and sophomore Kelsi Ludwigsen (Havre de Grace, MD/Harford Tech) have been voted to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team for District I in NCAA Division II, as coordinated and selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Petosa was honored in the sport of baseball and Ludwigsen for softball.
Both student-athletes are the first CoSIDA Academic All-District honorees in Felician history their sport. As First Team selections, Petosa and Ludwigsen will move on to represent Felician on the Division II Academic All-America ballot.

In 2012, Petosa, a 5-foot-10 outfielder, ranks fifth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate conference with a .366 batting average for the 25-22 Golden Falcons. He helped guide Felician to the CACC regular-season championship, leading the Golden Falcons in most offensive categories, including hits (53), runs (37), runs batted in (30), and stolen bases (14). A three-year starter, he carries a 3.77 cumulative grade-point average as an accounting major. Petosa was a 2011 Academic All-CACC honoree. He is a 2009 graduate of Spotswood High.
The 5-foot-3 Ludwigsen was a second-year starter at catcher for the Felician softball squad, which finished 18-34 overall. She batted .202 with two doubles, nine runs scored and 10 RBI during 43 starts. In the CACC Tournament, she hit .462 to help the No. 7 seed Golden Falcons to a fourth-place finish. A student in Felician's honors program, Ludwigsen is a pre-medical student with a 3.89 GPA. She is a 2010 graduate of Harford Tech of Bel Air, Md.
