Lori (Kwiatkowski) McGuinness was hired as assistant athletics director in September 2007. As Felician's NCAA compliance offer, she certifies the initial and continuing eligibility of the University's nearly 225 student-athletes, and ensures rules compliance by athletes, coaches and staff. She was named senior woman administrator in July 2008.
McGuinness spent three seasons as Felician's head softball coach from 2011-13, winning 47 games and making two CACC playoff appearances. She was the Golden Falcons' assistant softball coach in 2008.
McGuinness came to Felician after two years as the head softball coach and an instructor of exercise & sports sciences at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. She guided the Cougars to a 41-45 record and coached eight NFCA Scholar Athletes and one All-American. Prior to joining APU, she was a graduate assistant women’s basketball and softball coach and academic advisor at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham.
McGuinness was a four-year starter in softball at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. Her teams reached the NAIA national tournament twice, including a national finals appearance in her senior season.
McGuinness earned a BA in psychology from Point Loma in 2002 and a teaching certification from Felician in 2010. She lives in Brick with her husband, Brian, and daughter, Rylee.
