Melissa MacAlpin, who has taught graphic design at Felician since 2004, was named the University's Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA in January 2016.
After 11 years as an assistant professor at Felician, MacAlpin was promoted to associate professor prior to the 2015-16 academic year. During her time at Felician, she has served three years as the coordinator of the graphic design program, and spent 2014-15 as the chair of the art and music department.
MacAlpin is a 1998 graduate of Rutgers University, earning a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture from Rutgers' Mason Gross School of the Arts. She owns a master of fine arts degree in book arts/printmaking from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia (2001). She resides in Jersey City.
